Formally a Unilever manager, Tony Dalton is a serial entrepreneur with over 30 years experience of running small businesses and surviving the cash flow challenges that are thrown up along the way.

As well as running courses and speaking about cash management, Tony also runs an educational publishing company Educational Musicals Ltd www.educationalmusicals.com and an electronic marketing company Marketing Direct www.marketing-direct.co.uk

He learnt about cash flow the hard way, after working for Unilever, he started his first company and suddenly was hit by a cash flow crisis. He tried to find a book about managing such a crisis and there weren't any.

He developed his own way to survive by developing a Think Cash! mentality which led him to write "Cash Management" published by A & C Black (ISBN 978-0-7138-7706-5) to help others in the same position. When talking to small businesses he was able to show the benefits of contacting their customers before their invoices became due but, to his frustration, found they were all too busy to do it.
